rthur Armstrong Duck Boat Co., Inc.(tm) (AADBCO) is pleased to announce the expansion of it’s “high end” line of duck hunting boats to a new 10,000 sq. ft. facility located in Kentucky. This expands operations to approximately 20,000 sq. ft. of production space with additional room to grow! AADBCO is the new home of the original “TDB”, The Duck Boat™, which was originally built in Maine. Armstrong bought the assets to the Maine based company nearly three years ago and has enjoyed a strong following of loyal “TDB” enthusiasts.CEO and Chief Engineer, Tom Wilson states, “ the guys who purchase a “TDB” know what they’re getting. There are plenty of less expensive “knock-offs” on the market today. The “TDB” buyer knows the boat, knows the quality and is willing to pay for it! We have not had to do expensive marketing or hunting shows. We keep a full production schedule based primarily on “word of mouth” business. The additional space will allow us to respond to customer orders in a more timely fashion. Currently, the waiting list for some of our boats is several months long.” In addition to the “TDB”, AADBCO is also well known for the Blackjack, Wigeon and Sneaker.
Armstrong chose to locate operations in Kentucky due to availability of a dedicated workforce and tremendous community support. The new facility also offers an excellent transportation route with easy access to Interstate 75. The new facility has 3 adjoining acres which will accommodate another expansion planned for 2010!
